The official website of hydeout productions has announced on Thursday that Jun Seba, the hip-hop producer better known as Nujabes, passed away due to an automobile accident in Tokyo late in the evening of February 26. He was 36 years old. An ambulance had rushed Nujabes to a hospital in Tokyo’s Shibuya ward, but the live-saving efforts of the medical staff were ultimately unsuccessful. Source
This is really sad, Nujabes was a really dope producer mostly dealing w/ jazz and soul samples. Metaphorical Music is one my favorite albums, if you still dont know him then you might recognize his work as producer for the HipHop/Samurai infused classic anime, Samurai Shamploo, He will be missed.
Wayne and Shanell attempt to recreate some Prince vibe on this with Mack Maine playing the role of the terrible verse from Sheila E. Blame Splash. I’m really posting this so I can post a picture of her. Even though she tongued down the goblin she’s still cute to me.

I keep hearing that Monica’s new album is a winner and this joint is definitely backing up that claim.

Nothing can come close to replacing what DJ AM and Barker were doing but A-Trak and Travis are a great combo themselves, and it’s good to see them continuing on the tradition. Plus hearing Travis rock out over A-Trak’s Heads Will Roll Remix is something to be seen. RIP DJ AM.
Props to Info, who I should have approached the other night at the Jay Electronica show.
The cold blooded badassness of Black Dynamite lives on in this new video from Adrian Young and the cats behind the soundtrack to the movie. Waxpoetics is releasing a special limited edition 45 with the latest issue so go pick it up on stands when you leave here. Don’t you love being told what to do?
The first part of this interview was really informative and interesting so I’m expecting nothing less from the Bobo boys today. If you missed part one then here you go.
Toure interviews Luda about his beginnnings in the industry all the way up to his latest album Battle Of The Sexes. Not the biggest Toure fan but he does do a pretty in depth interview. Part two after the jump. Thanks Yardie.
Yep with a title like that I’m doing so much to educate the youth. Ah well. Don’t inhale kids. Save some for me. Pyramid West gets some other info out of Wiz and some good live footage out in Kansas.
