Video: Jay-Z Talks Blueprint 3 Leak

So it was an eventful day today with the album making it’s way onto the internet. Jay plays it cool though and in fact it does not really bother him that his album leaked today. He looks at it as a good thing and it’s just because everyone is just dying to hear it. The “most bootlegged artist in history” also says that he can tell that if a song is good or not just by how his pager get’s blown up. Of course he says that everone is blowing him up because they are liking what they are hearing. Damn, Hov. You must not have logged onto the internets today.

Video: Wale on 106 & Park

The DMV most definitely represented today on BET. Mr. Folarin’s Rising Icon’s footage should be here shortly, but for now here is his appearance earlier this evening on 106 & Park. Looks like he is either too excited to be on BET or he smoked some nice green before it was time to go on air. His interview up top revealing the first time he freestyled was over Da Brat’s “Funkdafied”, the first time he met Jay, CuDi, Mark Ronsin and how it feels to be a rising icon. After the jump check out the performance of Chillin’. Ok, bye.

Dr. Dre ft. Snoop Doggy Dogg – Poor Man Dave [The Chronic Outake]

 cb86a82a83f9

A rare gem that did not make the Doctor’s ’92 classic The Chronic, but you can find it on The Chronic Re-Lit [Remastered], which drops tomorrow. Yea we posted The Chronic Re-Lit  over the weekend, but I am sure the entire album’s link is dead by now. I actually never downloaded it, even though I posted it.  I planned to go pick this album up tomorrow anyways along with Bean’s album. Andre does not rap on this but just provides his normal ill production. However be prepared for that classic Calvin Broadus flow though. Good looks UnKut.

Joe Budden – No Competition [Prod. by J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League]

budden__tahiry

Don’t know how many times I hear that Joe needs better production, and looking at this could make you think it’s there now. However I don’t know about this one. The hook doesn’t do it for me. Mousebudden pens a song to Tahiry? The Great Escape coming soon.

Jay-Z x Nas x Chris Martin – Dead Presidents + The World Is Yours + Heart of the City (Ain’t No Love) [Live in London '06]

Jay Z & Nas

While watching the Texans getting bodied by the Vikings, I noticed DJ Green Lantern went pretty heavy twittering some gems this evening. One being Jay and Nas performing their classics in front of a London crowd back in ’06 with Coldplay’s Chris Martin one the keys. Another of Jay performing his Blueprint classic with Chris’ assistance as well. He threw up a lil homie classic and some Dante Hawkins as well. It sure would be nice to have some visuals to all these, but either or propers to the Evil Genius for the audios.

Jay-Z x Nas Live in London [14 minute]

Jay-Z ft. Chris Martin – Heart of the City [London]

Jay-Z ft. Dante Hawkins – Heart of the City [Dublin Ireland]

BONUS: Nas ft. Leon Mobley – One Mic

I rememember being in Philly back in Oct of ’05 for Jay’s “I Declare War” concert. A show where he was initially going to ”air out” tons of people but instead gathering everyone together for peace like Beans and the Lox, Diddy and the Lox. He suprised everyone for the first time ever calling a truce with Nas live on stage. They performed ”Dead Presidents/It Aint Hard To Tell” together live for the first time and it was amazing . [actually they did this the night before in NJ but they did the same show the night after in Philly]Definitely an experience to witness that live.

MC Lyte – Jungle

I actually wish this track was a little bit longer than it was because Lana definitely came correct on this one.  Not to mention the beat provided by WMS The Sultran freakin’ knocks. Spotted at Mr. X’s

Video: Kid From Kid ‘N’ Play Selling Suits Commercial

I know if I ever come across this commercial on television, I will probably kill myself. I was dying when I checked this out and had it on replay a couple of times straight. Christopher “Kid” Reid is seen here selling suits letting you all know that “it’s not always all about that Hip Hop House Party stuff”. After seeing this I will most certainly leave my shorts and flip flops alone and get suited up.  I got to stay looking fly wether I am taking a broad out on a date, my mother out to dinner or even when one of my homies get shot. Besides, you can’t beat that buy 1 get 1 free suit deal during these rough times. I am fully convinced I will now X this screen out and go straight to SW Suits and see if the homie Dave can hook me up and turn this bum into a man. The last 5 seconds is CLASSIC!

The Stripper Commandments

Now I am not a big fan of strip clubs, but stumbling across this in Complex magazine, I just had to re-post:

The 10 Stripper Commandments

10) THOU SHALL NEVER EVER FALL IN LOVE WITH A STRIPPER. EVER.
C’mon, now. Self-evident. Your relationship will only end up in headache, heartbreak, and hepatitis.

Video: Jay-Z Rhapsody Ad [Re-Creates Each Album Cover]

This is brilliant. Jay takes us back down memory lane recreating each and every album cover he ever did in this Rhapsody ad commercial. Thank God you left out your Best of Both Worlds albums.
