Wow. You know I tried to ignore this when it first popped up on twitter, and since I don’t listen to the radio much if at all I didn’t even hear this til WSHH decided to throw it up. I see Mr. Fiona himself threw this up the other day so I’m a lil late with this one but WTF? Seriously Kiss this is how you want to go about this beef or whatever it is you have with Wale? I mean seriously if I was dude I’d be down to punch someone in the mouth over this. It makes us, as in The DMV, look like a bunch of morons. Who is going to take us seriously coming from out of town when we are disrespecting our own artists on the radio? They clowned his music, and told him they wont play his shit. I think it was a diss. I thought it was comedy too but wow. real over the top.
Are they being serious in saying that Birdman is “hotter” than Wale? When big radio starts realizing “hot” and “new” don’t automatically equal “good” then I might start listening again but it’s been that way for years. Wale’s core/target audience don’t listen to the radio like that anyway, except for maybe internet stations. That is a bitch move to just outright diss a local artist like that, particularly one that’s actually got some flavor. Wack.
It was a subliminal or a quasi diss if anything at all. The dude did say he was Wale’s cousing and then she said he was jocking his (Wale’s) style.
I do think that it was pure judgement on the director of advertising for approving this joint, and if they wanted it to not look like a diss, they will have said “new music and hot music like the REAL WALE’S Pretty Girls” or something like that.

you can look at it two ways. The fact they didn’t say it was WALE, it could of just been funny. However, I did hear they don’t play WALE in D.C. for that matter. So, I’m a little curious about the real meaning behind that. Plus, BIRDMAN sucks, period!
WALE doesn’t get played in BALTIMORE either. I don’t know what the issue is with him and DMV radio… he’s not catching on. I’m personally not a fan, but I’m shocked he doesn’t get support from his own peers at least.
