Obviously still hurting after their public break-up, Cleveland strikes again!
I’m supporting LeBron’s Miami move and well anything that is anti-any team Kobe is on, but this was too funny not to post. Sometimes it sucks to be the King!

For the sports fan, this . . . well this is just comedy – “DISCOUNTED!!!” The owner of the NY Yankees has past away this morning, the day of the All-Star game. He is responsible for turning the Yankees into a billion dollar empire (1.6), trailing only Manchester United (1.8) and the Dallas Cowboys (1.65). Hall of Famer, Dave Winfield, speaks on their relationship and time spent with the owner. Spike Lee holds no punches and lets the world know that Lebron was going to Miami from the jump. Hilarious interview as Spike tells Miami the Knicks is not scared of you. On another note, Lebron and Chris Bosh both sign 6-year deals worth $110 million as Wade resigns for 6 years worth $107.5 million. Also, it looks like Jordan Farmar is going to Nets for a 3-year deal woth $12 million and it looks like Derrick Fisher may be out of LA as well. The Heat are interested in the veteran and may offer him a deal in the coming days. As predicted, Spain wins their first ever World Cup in overtime in a final that had 14 yellow cards. It wasn’t pretty but it took a red card by “The Dutch”, which caused them to be a man down in order for Spain to win. Think I might attend the next one in 2014 since Brazil will be hosting it. Here’s a quick recap….nuff respect to Spain!!! Lebron is headed to South Beach and the wait is finally over, especially for Cleveland. The Knicks were never mention in his decision making process but the others were. So now I can say for a fact, there is a 3-headed monster in Miami and I think they are already the favorite to win the east, however, critics feel they are not ready this year to win it all. Perhaps next year and beyond….but I have to say that with all the signing that has been done over the past few days, the power has shifted to the East “Oh My Gosh”.
Today is the first day to sign contracts and there are players who already agreed to play for teams. Carlos Boozer has agreed to play for the Bulls on a 5 yr deal worth $80 million. Kevin Durant has signed a 5 yr extension worth $86 million. Ray Allen has signed a 2 yr deal with the Celtics worth $20 million. There is still no word on Melo accepted the Nuggets extension for 3 yrs worth $65 million, his contract ends at the end of next season. Yesterday, Spain showed determination as they chipped away at the Germans to score the only goal of the game via a header. On Tuesday, “The Dutch” showed poise as they defeated Uruguay 3-2, but the game really wasn’t that close. So, what’s in store for the finals??? A first ever World Cup title for the winner so we’re sure both teams will be leaving it all on the field on Sunday. So, who will win??? As much as we like “The Dutch” the fire power of Spain may be too much for them, therefore, we are crowning Spain as the Champs. The 3rd place game will be played on Saturday by Uruguay and Germany.
Amar’e Stoudemire agreed to a 5-year contract worth almost $100 million with the NY Knicks setting the tone for where others may land. So here is the latest….their is no word on where Lebron might land but we do know it will not be the Clippers. Cleveland is still the likely candidate but they must bring in a big name like Bosh. The only thing with that is Chris Bosh doesn’t want to play center and that may be his position if he goes to the Cavs. Plus, he wants a bigger market to play in which makes him going to Miami a better landing place with D-Wade who reportedly says he will stay in Miami and help recruit another big name. Now that Dirk has agreed to return to the Mavs for 4-years and $80 million and Joe Johnson has agreed to return to the Hawks for 6-years and a max $119 million, there are not a lot of big names left out there. The next couple of days will be rewarding for one team while another may be left in the cold.
Wow, how exciting were those 4 games! I’m just gonna speak on the 2 upsets. Brazil drew first blood, but they let their emotions get the best of them and lost 2-1. Then Argentina gets walloped by Germany by getting shut out 4-0. Two teams I really thought would meet up for the World Cup has now opened the door for the teams that defeated them to meet for that trophy. I like one of these teams to win it all because they have possessed the most energy out of all the teams in the tournament. Today’s battle features Uruguay v. “The Dutch” and I believe the lucky streak ends for Uruguay, since they should have been eliminated a while ago. Tomorrow is Germany v. Spain and although a lot of analysts like Spain to win it all, I don’t think its gonna happen. Spain has never made it to the finals and I like the experience of the Germans to make the difference in this match. But I tell you this… a Spain World Cup is Longggg over due. |
