Well….I had just put the finishing touches on this weeks mix when the news broke that Michael Jackson had passed away.

Immediately people started calling, texting, emailing, and even tweeting telling me that I had to do a Michael Jackson mix for this week’s edition. I was initially reluctant to do it, as I’m sure there have been far more well thought out Michael mixes in the past. An icon of his stature deserved better I thought. I eventually caved in and got to work on the mix, downloading songs, digging through crates, and finding interview snippets to splice into the music. I finished up around one and got ready to design the cover and put it to bed.
Computer Crash.
My ancient powerbook which I do my recording on gave out. The main one is still alive and kicking but the backup is deader than a doornail. The backup of course contains the files of the Michael mix. I guess it wasn’t meant to be….. So today we have the originally planned for this week New Jack 90′s mix, and seeing as how they all are basically the children of Michael Jackson it’s still pretty fitting.
